Fans of Growing Up stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will get to see their idols paired anew for ABS-CBN’s upcoming TV series titled Princess and I.
This marks Daniel’s second time to be paired with Kathryn Bernardo.
In an interview with The Buzz host Boy Abunda, Daniel reiterates that he has special feelings for his leading lady.
At 17, the young actor has quite a big following of fans; his boyish looks appealing mostly to teenagers and even older women.
What is his reaction to their admiration?
Daniel simply replied, “Siyempre, unang-una natuwa. Di ko talaga alam…tingin ko lang sa sarili ko, underdog lang ako.”
Despite his growing popularity, Daniel tries to keep a low profile. “Di ko kailangan yung effort na mapansin. Kung sino lang ang gustong pumansin,” he said.
The Gimik 2010 star is very thankful to his fans and tries to be with them whenever possible. He disclosed, “Pag may time, nagkikita-kita kung kaya ng schedule. Kung wala sila, bakit pa ako naandito? Sila yung sumusuporta. Minsan, mas alam pa nila ang schedule ko kaysa sa akin.”
Boy then focused his attention on Daniel’s love life. He asked if the teen actor has a girlfriend and Daniel answered, “Dati ho pero ayokong pag-usapan iyon.”
“Are you in love with Kathryn Bernardo?” was Boy’s next straightforward question.
Daniel tried to evade the question by saying, "Di ba pwedeng mamaya na lang yon?”
He then added, “Sa tanong kung in love, di ko po alam pero sa totoo, ngayon ko lang ito naramdaman sa isang babae.”
How does he show his feelings for her?
He admitted, “Trinatrato ko siya sa show na parang prinsesa.”
Boy asked Daniel if gets jealous of his co-stars Enrique Gil and Pilipinas Got Talent runner-up Khalil Ramos.
Daniel said, “Maraming nagsasabi na selos-selos pero di naman po. Ang kapal naman po ng mukha ko para magselos-selos…”
Did he talk to Kathryn about his feelings?
The star of Princess and I admitted, “Alam niya na gusto ko talaga siya…Siguro nararamdaman niya…sa dami ng mga interview na sinabi ko na."
